Hey guys! It's me CARAMELO! Let me fill you guys in on who i am and how i began on the music scene. I was born in Brooklyn, New York to two wonderful parents of Puerto Rican descent. My hobbies include singing, songwriting, making people laugh, and spending time with my wife and family. I had originally began in the music business as part of a latin-house group called "The Loco Boyz". while in the group, i found a new love and that love was for Freestyle. I grew up as a fan of such great Freestyle artists such as TKA, George Lamond, Coro, Noel, Cynthia, and Johnny O, just to name a few! After realizing that I was the only musically serious and inclined member of the group, I decided that it was time for me to begin my voyage into the wonderful world of Freestyle!!!!
I began my voyage in the late 1990s, when I met the talented producer- Freddy "The Edit" Rivera. together, with his talents as a producer and my talents as an artist and songwriter, we created the track- "You Make Me Want To Cry". The song was written by yours truly, Rafael "CARAMELO" Ramos, and initially appeared on East Coast Record's Freestyle Dance Planet Volume 2 (Hot Productions CD#33196-2). It also appeared on "The Ultimate Freestyle Mix Vol.#4"-also on Hot Productions. The CD never got much promotion, and thus, the opportunity to blossom. The track is also featured on the CD-Freestyle's New Generation- as part of a two CD set that has been released entitled, "Bad Boy Joe's The Best of Freestyle Megamix Vol.3 (CD#WIP367).
The CD-Freestyle's New Generation- was created with the intention of allowing aspiring new school Freestyle artists the opportunity to be exposed to new and old Freestyle fans alike. Soon after creating - "You Make Me Want To Cry", I began to write a second track entitled, "Love Is What You Need", and with the assistance of producer Freddy "The Edit" Rivera, brought the track to life. The track appeared on A.V.P. (Another Valentin Production) Record's Freestyle Volume #5 (Hot Productions CD#33260-2). Currently, I have written and recorded two additional tracks that appear on my maxi-single CD that you can purchase. Just click on the "Buy My Music" link. One of the tracks- "You're The Love Of My Life" (produced by Artie Rodriguez) is featured on Bad Boy Joe's The Best of Freestyle Megamix Vol.#5 (Freestyle's New Generation Vol.#3-disc two).
I have also recorded a song dedicated to my beautiful and wonderful mom (rest in peace mom! te queremos mucho! Que descanses en paz!) entitled-"How Can I Go On?" I'd like to thank my beautiful wife, father, mother (from up above), brother, family, friends, fans, and god for the great support through this rough time in my life. I did not know if I was going to continue doing music, but I will because that would be what my beautiful mother would have wanted.
REST IN PEACE MOM!

WE WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU!!!
I currently own a small, independent label called "Tumai Recordings". All production/cd manufacturing is done independently. I hope that all of the fans enjoy the music and support "Tumai Recordings", freestyle and dance music!
I would like to take this time to thank a person whom, i believe, has not received the proper credit and recognition that he deserves, and that person is Arsenio "Artie" Rodriguez. Artie has let his true talent as an artist, producer, and songwriter shine throughout the past years. He is the type of person that makes you give it your all in any project, and does not settle for anything but the best. Artie has produced tracks for various freestyle artists, both old school and new school, and has been in the music business for a while. In addition to Freestyle, Artie has also created music in the genres of R&B, Pop, Ballads, Rap, and even Reggeaton!
Currently, Artie is one half of the duo- Artie and Legit, and co-host of "The Diamante Show", a public access tv show that allows talented, discovered and undiscovered artists to get their "15 minutes of fame" or promote their material. It airs in NYC, and in several other markets.
Thank you Artie for sharing your talent with us. Much continued success in all of your future endeavors, and it's always a pleasure working with you! "God Bless the Talent!"
